Festival Description

Summer music feast
The biennial Adam Chamber Music Festival (January 23 - February 7, 2009) draws top international musicians to play in intimate and heritage venues in Nelson and surrounds. This year’s stars include the world-famous Pražák String Quartet from the Czech Republic; London-based Australian pianist, Piers Lane; Swedish mezzo-soprano, Catrin Johnnson; and from California, acclaimed guitarist David Tanenbaum making his New Zealand debut.

A total of 42 events over 16 days, performed in the Cathedral, the School of Music and St John’s Church in Nelson; the Chanel Arts Centre, Motueka; the Church of the Sacred Heart, Takaka; and in Blenheim’s Brancott Winery and Church of the Nativity.
