Festival Description

Summer music feast
The biennial Adam Chamber Music Festival (odd numbered years) draws top international musicians to play in intimate and heritage venues in Nelson and surrounds. Past year’s stars have included the world-famous Pražák String Quartet from the Czech Republic; London-based Australian pianist, Piers Lane; Swedish mezzo-soprano, Catrin Johnnson; and from California, acclaimed guitarist David Tanenbaum making his New Zealand debut.

Approximately 40 events over 16 days, are performed in such venues as the Cathedral, the School of Music and St John’s Church in Nelson; the Chanel Arts Centre, Motueka; the Church of the Sacred Heart, Takaka; and in Blenheim’s Brancott Winery and Church of the Nativity.
