| Festival Description | Auckland embraced its first Festival in 2003 with unparalleled enthusiasm. The city was bedazzled by a constellation of creativity from across the region and around the world in the performing and visual arts. Its success has restored a proud Auckland tradition with the dynamic international program. The 2007 festival hosted an exceptional line-up of internationally acclaimed composers, choreographers, directors, dancers and artists who will join New Zealand’s finest artists. The next festival—AK09 will be Auckland’s fourth biennial event. |
