Showdown Blues Festival

The idea emerged to organize a blues festival when some friends drawn together with a shared passion for blues festivals decided to create one themselves. The stage was set in an old warehouse of a retired mill constructed of red bricks, oak trusses and the scent of nostalgia — the first strings were played and the Showdown Blues Festival was born. A festival that has blues blood running through all of her veins. In all those years, the festival had grown vigorously however always kept her intimate juke joint atmosphere and cozy festival ambiance. The Showdown Blues offered a line-up from a wide spectrum of blues music consisting of a musical journey from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago to the West Coast and Texas inhaling a diversity of blues influences along the way. The festival’s last edition place in 2010 and no longer takes place.
