| Festival Description | The biggest annual Lebanese artistic event held in historical Baalbeck Roman ruins in the Bekaa Valley. Baalbeck International Festival was launched in 1956 in the roman ruins of Baalbeck’s acropolis. Since its beginnings, the festival has attracted great international names in music, dancing and theater, and honored folklore, music and theater. After 22 years of suspension due to the war, the festival resumed its activities in 1997, organizing concerts and performances that varied between classical, rock, jazz and ethnic. |
