| Festival Description | The Tango Dance World Championship represents a worldwide phenomenon that is headquartered in Buenos Aires, the city where tango was born. The pleasure of dancing, encountering and forming new bonds is now spiced up by the opportunity to measure skills and deftness. The entire city is transformed during nine days and nights. The regular Buenos Aires landscape is raided by tango concerts, theme classes, workshops and exhibitions. The World’s best dancers arrive in Argentina to meet with the Buenos Aires “milongueros”, now compelled to display their tango heritage on the dance floor. The competition consists of two categories: Salon Tango and Stage Tango. |
