| Festival Description | Since 2005 the Boss Sounds Reggae Festival has brought the world’s greatest names in reggae to Newcastle Gateshead. In its second year the festival was awarded the Journal Culture Award. This award recognizes and highlights the wealth of cultural activity across the North East region. The Festival won out from a broad field of artistic achievement—from performances to playwrights, events to exhibitions, musicians to museums, artists to actors. |
