The Birmingham International Dance Festival celebrated its inaugural event in the spring of 2008 with a month-long program that showcased a variety dance genres including the Kirov Ballet and Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. The renowned Akram Khan’s collaboration with National Ballet of China, in Bahok was also featured.

- Various venues across Birmingham showcasing a huge range of dance styles at venues across the city and the West Midlands region, IDFB 2010 is the region’s biggest dance festival. It will animate the city with a world-class programme of outstanding dance performances from around the globe, large-scale events for mass public participation, workshops, commissions and debates.
