| Festival Description | Buncrana, situated on the banks of Lough Swilly, presents its annual music festival. In addition to open-air gigs, the festival includes a lively street parade and street carnival. Over the years, the event has gone from strength to strength and this year's programme promises to be packed with many well-known artists. Every night during the event there are various live bands on the street and competitions in the bars. Included in the programme are daytime activities for the kiddies, such as treasure hunts and a Teddy Bears' Picnic in Swans Park. On the final night of the festival, visitors can partake of the largest barbecue in Ireland. The grand finale is a massive fireworks display over the tranquil waters of Lough Swilly. |
