| Festival Description | The Festival's tradition was to honor Bob Marley, one of the greatest champions of human rights and world peace. It featured North America’s largest international crafts and food fair jammin’ each day during the ten-hour Saturday and Sunday Festivals—some come to the Festival just for the food! This family-friendly event offerd children 12 and under free admission when accompanied by a paid adult. The Children’s Activity Space, provided by the What About the Children? Foundation, is an annual tradition where kids are entertained with storytellers, face painting, and other enriching activities. Acclaimed as the best Reggae Festival in the U.S., the festival featured top international artists who exemplified the Reggae spirit Bob Marley championed. As a founding member of the Wailers, and the trio’s only surviving member, Bunny Wailer performed at the festivities along with Junior Reid, Andrew and Wada Blood. Midnite with their raw-roots flavor and singer/toaster Pato Banton made appearances, as will the Gladiators. |
