| Festival Description | The West Cork Chamber Music Festival, founded in 1995 was comprised of a five-day festival of 14 concerts. By July 2002 the Festival had grown to a nine-day event promoting over fifty concerts and masterclasses and contracting over 70 musicians to perform. The organisation is also responsible for the year-round promotion of classical and traditional music throughout the West Cork area creating strong links with the community. This series of 10-15 concerts has built a wide local audience base and encourages the habit of supporting live music performance and the appreciation of the highest standards of performance. |
