| Festival Description | Brisbane’s International Arts Festival is one of the top five in Australia and the biggest arts event in Queensland. The focus of the annual event takes place at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Describing itself as a “vivid snapshot of world entertainment” the festival covers everything from comedy to kid’s stuff, fireworks to artworks. Across the festival month there is always a packed programme of the latest in dance, drama, music, visual arts exhibitions and large-scale free events, with artists and performers from Australia and around the world. The festival, originally organized as a biennial event, has become an annual event beginning with the 2009 festival! |
