| Festival Description | Established in 1969, Szentendre Summer presents a program series of open-air performances by the Szentendre Theatre. Each year the theatre also presents new productions in addition to a diverse program that includes opera and prose. The city’s main square is the main venue that features street music, and street theatre performances. In addition to the theatrical performances there are jazz and folk evenings and visual arts exhibitions. Other venues include the Danube Cultural Centre, and the city’s churches. Each year the organizers add to the rich program with numerous alternative performances. |
