The Philharmonic Society organizes one of contemporary music’s most significant concert series, the festival entitled Music of Our Age, every year since 1974 in the beginning of October. The festival provides an opportunity to become acquainted with numerous new compositions by contemporary composers of international reputation are performed and gives young composers an opportunity to introduce themselves. In addition to new compositions, the unknown or unjustly neglected compositions of classic 20th century composers are also featured at the festival.
