| Festival Description | Experts consider the biennial, week long contemporary programme series to be one of the best choral competitions in Europe. During the event more than 2000 singers from around 50 choirs communicate in the common language of song, and get to know the choral traditions and culture of Hungary and other nations. The competition has won international recognition for its outstanding performances of 20th century music, and especially for its performances of contemporary choral music. Serenade evenings and exhibitions throughout the county round off the competitions and concerts. |
