Sopron was the first town in the country to join the events of Budapest Spring Festival 1983. In recent times the number of festival towns has increased, which creates a colourful cultural atmosphere all over the country as March arrives. The last two weeks of March provide in the Town of Loyalty a programme of traditionally high standard for each generation and for each field of interest. Music, cultural and theatre events present famous inland and foreign artists.
