| Festival Description | Since its creation, (Bartók) International Opera Festival, Miskolc has become the most complete and remarkable Bartók Festival in the world. Every year all of Bartók's stage works are presented in the most exciting recent Hungarian and foreign productions—some of which have already been initiated as the festival's own productions lately. The most famous Hungarian composer is matched with another musical genius each year. After Verdi, Puccini and Mozart, this year the great Russian composer, Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, will be in the focus of artistic attention. |
