The competition has been taking place every year, since 2001 in Greece (Athens) and has become an institution. Mrs. Katerina Pavlaki is the founder, organizer and director of this important dance event, which has become a reference point for many dancers and is the well known for her activities as dancer, teacher and choreographer.

The great accomplishment of the competition is that each year the festival continuously increases interest in participation with dancers from all over the world, as well as a higher level of the participants. In the 2009 competition, professional and amateur dancers of all ages, from 13 countries (Greece, Austria, France, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, USA) participated. In 2010 the competition will celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The competition aims to unify Professional and Amateur dancers from all over the world, through a contest of talent and technique, in Classical Ballet, Modern dance, Character, Jazz and Ethnic dance, in order to exchange ideas and experiences. The competition seeks to offer dancers the best possible reward and recognition. By offering awards and scholarships to the distinguished dancers serves as a motivation for furthering their professional career.
