| Festival Description | Since it was founded in 1986, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival has had a firm place on the list of the world's top international cultural events. The seven weeks of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (SHMF) takes place at more than 50 venues in about 30 locations in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, world-famous classical music stars as well as a number of very promising young artists will be appearing at about 130 events. Schleswig-Holstein's most attractive venues will be opening their doors once again, and concerts held in barns, stalls, churches, castles and concert halls or on country estates will benefit from the unique backdrops they provide. Guests will be able to enjoy great art, beautiful scenery and a relaxed atmosphere at the "Music Festivals in the Countryside" and the Children's Music Festival. |
