| Festival Description | The Viva la Gong festival consists of music, art, dance, fashion, film, sculpture, theatre, food and family fun. This annual festival of arts, culture and innovation is the highlight of Wollongong’sarts and cultural calendar. Every October, the city comes alive with the Parade and Party, art walks out of the galleries into the streets; people sing and dance in 30 different languages and an enticing array of foods from our diverse range of cultural groups and we all discover the life - the VIVA in the ‘Gong'. The festical involves over 2,400 participants, employs close to 800 artists. |
